Someone's knocking the door
it must be her
standing there and waiting
to tell me in tht sweet whisper
how much she loves me!
I rush to the door
while the time stands still
my hands shake and my fingers numb
I get there just by the will
ahh! no more pining!
I open the door
to meet the cold breeze
and my eyes search around
but find nothing to please
oh no! not again!
Half the night to kill
I lie on my bed
thinking about her
someone's knocking the door
